Red Page launches fundraiser for House of Joy basketball court

This week marks the unofficial beginning of March Madness (NCAA basketball tournament) with the “First Four” play in games taking place this Tuesday and Wednesday followed by the first round on Thursday. I’d venture a guess that almost all basketball enthusiasts will find a way to be near a computer or television starting Thursday. After all, that is when the most exciting games take place in my opinion. I know I personally planned my travel schedule this week so that I can “work from home” Thursday and Friday! I even remember one semester while in grad school watching the games on a television at our feet while taking a distance education class! Maybe that is why they call it March “madness!”

Red Page & House of Joy announce the hiring of the first Social Worker

Red Page Ministries, in partnership with the House of Joy Foundation, is proud to announce the addition of Adina Petric to the House of Joy team. Adina represents the first of what is hoped to be many social workers to be hired by the House of Joy with the support of Red Page.

Adina, a native of Susani, will represent a long line of family members committed to the future of her village and those nearby. Adina graduated college with a degree in social work and theology in Oradea. During that time she met her husband and ministry partner Ovidiu. After graduation Ovidiu and Adina followed the Lord’s prompting to return to Susani where Ovidiu would serve as pastor of the local Baptist church. Adina has faithfully served as coordinator for government support for the region surrounding Susani since their arrival. This position allowed her to develop relationships with those in need. These relationships, as well as Ovidiu’s position in the church, have opened the door of opportunity to serve those she loves more extensively. Her hire as social worker will serve an integral role in the foundation of future House of Joy programs.
